Great Gwandalan News! As reported last month our combined anniversary dinner with the Lioness club was held on 23rd August - it was our 29th and the Lioness clubs 26th birthdays and we had a great roll up of members, partners and distinguished guests. Also on the night we were proud to charter our new Leo Club. The charter and induction of members was performed by District Governor Cliff Coleman, assisted by NSW Leo Chairperson Gail Hart. We were privileged also to have MD201 Leo & Youth Outreach Committee Chairman, Lion Martin Peebles in attendance to give a vote of thanks. The charter members of the Leo Club are Jacqui Brown (President), Marcus Bickerdike, Brittany Bishop, Amber Chalker, Charlie Claxton, Jordan Evans, Benjamin Geddes, Dylan Hart, Gabrielle Magee, Lachlan Maynard, Jayden Smith and Sarah Stevens. We welcome these young people to the wonderful world of Lionism, and they have already started to do their bit to help our community. Our thanks also to the members of Lions clubs from around the coast who attended to celebrate with us. Enquiries for membership of Leos should be directed to President, Lion Greg Aitchison on 4358 2132. Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy. Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing. This website is where you can find out about your own local Lions Club.
